Sponsorship of an individual older student in tertiary education is NZ$30-35 per month. We work directly with these young people, mentoring them through school and supporting them as they find their feet in the adult world.
Each year part of our fundraising goes towards supporting the work of Umbrella Nepal, a registered child welfare organisation based in Kathmandu. You can learn more about Umbrella’s work here
Since 2015 we have worked with grassroots organisation Remote Helping Nepal. RHN was set up by our friends Krish and Rita, based in Pokhara. After the 2015 earthquakes they saw the need to help villages rebuild educational supplies and our funding assists them with this work. RHN also runs woman’s health and hygiene programmes and distributes reusable sanitary products.
